He graduated from the production department at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Tuzla, in the class of doc. Edin Lonić as a golden student at the University of Tuzla. During his studies, he worked in professional art productions. The engagement in the independent theater company East West Centar Sarajevo stands out. For a year he was the producer of the Bosnian National Theater Zenica as the first highly educated producer in the public bh. theater. At the Bosnian National Theater in Zenica, he fully produced the international theater event “Night of BiH Theater 2010”, and as an executive producer he was engaged in most of the projects realized in the 2010/2011 season. After the internship, Oliver Jović decided to work as an independent producer, curator, director and drama pedagogue. In cooperation with the Center for Youth Education Travnik launches the program “Cem art” which deals with the socialization of young people through culture and implements a large regional project “Generator – a platform for the development of contemporary theater for children.” He collaborates with the Travnik Homeland Museum on the projects “Son without a father, mother without a husband”, “Drama of joy” and “Nobel laureate and Travnik”. He is the founder of the drama studio at the Travnik Cultural Center, as part of which he directs the play “Boys of Pavlova Street”, which has won many awards. In addition to Travnik, he founded a theater school in Donji Vakuf. Since 2016, he has been the selector of the children’s program at the international festival MESS Sarajevo. As a selector and drama pedagogue, he resides in residency programs in France and Poland. He was a member of the executive board of the “Culture 2020” initiative and a member of the jury at the Juventa Fest 2019. Oliver Jović is the author of the documentary play “Hidden Shadows”, which deals directly with the problem of violence against women and children in modern Bosnia and Herzegovina. society. Together with playwright Emina Omerović and actress Maja Izetbegović, he directed the play “Agnes and the Brave”, the first play for children produced by the Mess Festival. In collaboration with 12 drama artists, he is launching an online theater program “Open the Window” as a direct artistic response to the situation caused by the Covid 19 virus pandemic. He regularly holds theater workshops and lectures, with a focus on the social significance of theater and art in the community.
