Politician, jurist and writer. Graduated at Law Faculty of the Sarajevo University. Current mayor of the city of Tuzla and member of the Main Board of the BiH Social Democratic Party. Acclaimed for his short stories and novels, he has published three books, of which his novels “Killing death” (1994) and “Immortal deer” (1996) won the First Prize at the International gathering of publishers and cultural foundations in Pazin in 1999. As a jurist, he has published three books and some twenty publications on property rights and records. He is a member of the Writers’ Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and initiator of the “Meša Selimović” Prize awarded within the “Cum Grano Salis” Literary Meetings in Tuzla.
