The World of Possibilities: A 20-Year Celebration of East West Center
Text and Director: Haris Pašović
How much can you love? Is love limitless?
Are you an empathetic person? Is empathy infinite?
What do you do when you cannot escape a challenging reality?
Where are the limits of patience?
Does solidarity have meaning?
What is grace?
These questions are part of everyone’s personal world. They are our most intimate reflections; conversations we have with ourselves. “The World of Possibilities” is a theater play about people with disabilities, their families, and their therapists. It is a reality that reveals the incredible human capacity to love and to sacrifice. It is also a world of numerous challenges and, at times, tragic outcomes. It is a world where the meaning of life is embodied in the strongest possible way.
“The World of Possibilities” follows a series of characters living in extraordinary circumstances caused by cerebral palsy and autism. The stories that unfold before us are astonishing. They compel us to think about life from a new and surprising perspective, moving us profoundly.
“The World of Possibilities” is an exceptional performance, directed with virtuosity and featuring innovative dramaturgy by author and director Haris Pašović.
