Description

The incubator, an indispensable tool for saving the lives of prematurely born infants, symbolizes a commitment to protecting every human life, even those not yet biologically self-sufficient. By precisely regulating temperature, humidity, and oxygen levels, and by reducing external stimuli, incubators recreate the conditions of the womb and significantly contribute to the survival and healthy development of premature babies. This theatrical exploration connects the symbolism of the incubator with the brutal present reality of the war in Gaza. The scenes of powerless incubators at Al Shifa Hospital and newborns huddled together for warmth raise questions about the limits of (in)humanity.
