Internationally renowned choreographer in the field of contemporary ballet and a director of Maribor Ballet. Completed his ballet studies at the National ballet school in Cluj-Napoca (Romania). In 2003 he became artistic director of the ballet with the Slovene National Theatre (SNG) in Maribor. His works are being performed around the world and are commissioned by many ballet theatres: West Australian Ballet, Romanian National Ballet in Bucharest, Station Zuid in the Netherlands, Bitef Dance Company in Belgrade, Aalto Ballet in Essen, etc. He received international awards for his choreography at dance competitions and festivals in Varna, Moscow, Hannover, Nagoya, Belgrade and Sarajevo, such as the Award of the Prešern Foundation in 2005, the “Special Award for Best Choreography” at the International Theatre Festival MESS Sarajevo 2011 and many others.
